Can't add pictures through blogspot again. Grrr... Not that I have any very recent pictures to add.
Last weekend we were all invited to a Superbowl Party. I decided to make a cake. Mark asked the host if there was anything else needed at the party, and he requested my potato salad. I was later told that he loves it because it reminds him of his mom's potato salad. (Awwwwww)
I stayed up late saturday night decorating the cake, and making potato salad. All the while sipping on margaritas.. yum. The cake turned out pretty cute. I decided I should take a quick picture and put it in my photobucket to show my mom, the football aficionado. Since it was late, I decided to just take a pic of it in the fridge. Thinking I'd take another one in the morning when the kitchen was clean, or at the party. Mainly, I just wanted to make sure I got at least one picture of the cake in case little people happened into the kitchen before I could wake up to guard the fridge doors to prevent them from digging little fingers into the icing.
So Sunday morning I sat down with the intentions of loading pictures. I plugged the USB cord into the front of the computer. Then, I plugged the other end into the camera. I heard a strange beep, looked at the monitor and saw in the bottom right corner a little pop-up that read "USB SURGE". I freaked out and turned the power off to the camera, followed by unplugging the USB cord quickly. Still beeping. HORRIBLE BEEPING. I held down the power button on the computer. A big nono, I know. I felt anxiety wash over me. I turned the power back on... beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. It was locking up at the boot. O M G.
We went to the party, everybody raved about the cake. The potato salad was well liked.
When we got home, Mark tried to fix the computer. He said he was pretty sure it was "fried". I pictured three years worth of digital pictures lost. I haven't taken hardly any film pics, and printed only a few of my digital since my youngest was born. Since October '03 I have
