Rita came for a visit today. We didn't see the ugliest side of her, just a little glimpse of how horrible she must have been before toning down a great deal.

The winds had us a little scared due to the tree that fell on our house with no winds whatsoever a few months ago.

We got a lot of rain.. still, I doubt it's going to add anything to the lake. Everything has been so dry for many many months. The lake bed resembled a peeling sunburn the last time we checked the levels.
Even though things weren't that bad around here, most of our area, if not all, has been without power. I'm so thankful for the cool breezes and the generator that we are using to power our necessities.. the TV and the computer.
