Weeee!!!
So glad spring is here. I think this last little cold blast we are having is going to be it. Then, it's time to get everything in the ground. Apparently, I have some inkling of intuition about these things! *wink*
Today we had to have our house jacked up. The ground had done a lot of shifting and settling since being put here 2 years ago. We had windows that were stubborn to open, and doors that were hard to close. The nice guys that came to do it saw my little tomato plants and asked if we had ever grown them upside-down. Mark and I looked at each other kind of funny. Then, we decided to listen to his story. He said that years back he had worked at the campbell's soup factory. Nearby he met an old african american gentleman that showed him this technique of growing tomatoes that led to a HUGE crop of tomatoes. I'm very anxious to get mine started. I'm thinking of trying the growing technique with blueberries as well.

HEY! You're back! I've checked a bunch of times and admired again and again Hannah in the prom contenders. I want to know HOW you grow a tomato upside down???
If it's successful, I'll take pictures! I've already instructed Mark to build some oversized saw horse type structures to set up on the sides of the garden to hang the buckets from. I'm going to have to paint the buckets, the thought of home depot or some other company's 5 gallon buckets hanging from a structure sounds VERY redneck.
That sounds VERY interesting!! I will definately show that article to my mom. She's more likely to have luck with stuff like that. My thumb is apparently not quite black, but definately not green either.
