Abandoned
Wow, has it really been two months? Funny thing is, my last blog as on August 28th. Mine and Mark's 14th anniversary.
I've been watching Dexter, as mentioned in another blog. It's ok, but I apparently had it built up in my mind to be sooo much better.
Still looking forward to the new season of "Masters of Horror". The new season starts the 27th oc October. I've already set my DVR to record it.
We've been busy with lots of construction around the land. Mark has been leveling an area of land with a dozer to pour a slab for his shop, and working on a 2 story monstrosity of a storage building at the same time.
I've been trimming up little random forests on the property. We have thorn trees everywhere and it makes spelunking painful. Unless you are a 2' tall person trying to run from a 5'+ person, you will not come out without looking like you were attacked by Freddie Krueger. Once all the piles of brush have been carried off, I will share pics of the transformation.
Hannah was in a Robotics competition on the 21st of October. She and three other seniors designed, built, and learned to operate a robot that placed 9th out of 22. The other teams were considerably larger and had coaches that came from Raytheon and other technical businesses. The competition is sponsored by Raytheon every year.
I'm really amazed at what they were able to accomplish between the three of them in only 6 weeks. AMAZED.
Here's a pic of the robot.

Can't wait to see the pix after the thorns are cleared. It made me think of Sleeping Beauty.
Congratulations to Hannah!!! What does the robot do?

More on the robot! Too cool. sheesh, back in high school we didn't get to do stuff like that and we had CAD/CAM machines and electronics labs at our disposal!
Way to go!
